A good aligner starts with a good scan. Small gaps or distortions in the scan can turn into fit problems later, so a few simple habits make a big difference.
Capture full arches and the bite
Make sure the scan includes all erupted teeth, the full gum margin and a clear bite registration. Missing distal surfaces on the last molars are one of the most common issues.
Keep the field dry
Saliva and reflections create noise in the scan. Drying the teeth and scanning in short, steady passes gives cleaner data.
Send clear notes
Tell us what you want to achieve, which teeth should not move and whether IPR is acceptable. Clear notes mean fewer revisions and faster approvals.
