Commonly asked questions

OrthoAlign.ca is here to support your clinical workflow — with careful planning, expert guidance and a quality-first approach at every step.

Which file formats do you accept for new cases?

We accept open-format STL, OBJ and PLY files exported from any intraoral scanner, including iTero, 3Shape, Medit, Carestream and Dentsply Sirona. Lab scans of impressions or models are also fine.

What does OrthoAlign.ca provide to dental practices?

Our main service is complete clear aligner production: 3D treatment planning, online 3D viewer links for case review, printed models and finished thermoformed aligners for 10-month, 20-month or custom tracks. We also offer retainers, refinements and STL-only exports.

How can I review and approve a 3D setup?

Each case includes a shareable 3D viewer link. You can review the movement stage by stage, check the IPR chart, request changes or approve the setup directly in your browser.

How do I send cases to OrthoAlign.ca?

Contact us to set up your partner account. You can then share scans through your scanner’s lab connection, email or a file-transfer link, along with photos and your treatment notes. Our team confirms receipt and sends the setup within 24 to 48 hours.

How long does aligner production take after approval?

Most aligner sets are printed, formed, finished and dispatched within a few business days of your approval. Larger cases and bulk orders are scheduled with you in advance.

Can my clinic or brand name go on the packaging?

Yes. We offer white-label production, so aligners can be packed and labelled under your own clinic or brand name.

Do you ship across Canada and internationally?

Yes. Finished aligners are shipped by tracked courier to clinics in every province and territory, and to partners in the United States, Europe, the Middle East and beyond. For international orders, any import duties or taxes depend on the destination country.

Is patient information kept confidential?

Yes. Scans and case files are used only to plan and produce the requested aligners, shared only with team members working on the case, and handled in line with Canadian privacy law.
